The committee meets weekly to review the global macro environment, each portfolio and discuss investment candidates. Due Diligence is performed on each investment candidate and is focussed on identifying the following characteristics within an investment:

• Sustainable businesses without excessive debt
• Sustainable businesses with a history of profitability
• Management with a proven track record of success
• Management with a vested interest in the business
• Industries with barriers to entry
• Industries displaying growth prospects
• Fundamental approach to identifying long term value
• Technical analysis overlay which helps identify short term market anomalies and assist with portfolio risk management
